Hi friends! It’s Harper, and today I’m going to tell you all about one of my absolute favorite places in Sydney—Featherdale Wildlife Park! 🐾 If you’re visiting Sydney and love animals as much as I do, this place needs to be on your list. It’s a wildlife lover’s dream, and I can’t wait to share why!

Featherdale Wildlife Park

Get Up Close with Amazing Animals

Featherdale Wildlife Park is all about getting you up close and personal with some of the most adorable (and a few really wild!) animals. From kangaroos to koalas, and even crocodiles, there’s so much to see and do. What makes this park super special is that you’re not just looking at the animals from far away—you’re right there with them!

Feeding the Animals: A Total Highlight

One of the coolest parts? You can feed so many of the animals! I spent so much time hanging out with the kangaroos, feeding them from my hand. They are the sweetest, gentlest animals ever, and honestly, I could sit there forever just chilling with them. It felt like we were besties by the end of the day!

And it’s not just kangaroos. You can also feed wallabies and see other animals up close in their natural-like habitats. It’s such a different experience than a regular zoo, and I think the animals seem happier with more space to move around.

Petting a Koala: A Unique Experience

Another amazing highlight of Featherdale Wildlife Park is getting to pet a koala! 🐨 In New South Wales, it’s against the law to hold a koala, but honestly, petting one and being so close to them is still incredible. Koalas are even cuter in real life, and it was so fun learning about them while getting to see their adorable little faces up close.

VIP Tour: Next-Level Fun

If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience, the VIP tour is 100% worth it. I got to go behind the scenes, and wow, was it amazing! I held a baby quokka (SO cute!), a baby crocodile (kind of scary but still awesome!), and even watched the giant crocodile feeding up close. You feel like a real zookeeper for the day—it’s such a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Why Featherdale Wildlife Park is Perfect for Families

I love that Featherdale Wildlife Park isn’t huge like some zoos. It’s smaller and more personal, which means you can see everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Plus, it’s really family-friendly, and everyone can enjoy interacting with the animals.

Don’t Miss Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney!

Featherdale Wildlife Park is hands down one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. If you’re in Sydney, don’t miss it! Whether you’re feeding kangaroos, petting a koala, cuddling a quokka, or exploring on the VIP tour, you’ll leave with the best memories.
