Hi friends, it’s Harper here, back to share my second trip to London! You might think that after my first visit, I’d seen it all, but this time, I got to experience the city in a whole new way. How? With a traditional black cab tour!

These tours are famous for being one of the best ways to see London, and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint. Even though I had already visited many of the big historical spots, our guide made this trip extra special by tailoring the tour just for me.
A Little Piece of Texas in London
One of the coolest surprises was when our guide showed me a spot in London that has a connection to Texas!
As a Texas girl, I had no idea this even existed, and it was so fun to see a little piece of home all the way across the pond. It’s moments like these that make private tours so awesome—you get to see things that are off the usual tourist path.
Leaving My Mark in the Graffiti Tunnel
Now, this part of the tour was hands-down my favorite! We visited the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel, a place I had been to before, but this time, it was a completely new experience. Known as a hub for street art, the tunnel is constantly transformed by the incredible works of talented artists from all over. Each visit feels like stepping into a brand-new gallery, with vibrant pieces that showcase creativity, skill, and self-expression.
🎨 Speaking of creative adventures, check out my Scavenger Hunt at the Louvre, where I turned a museum visit into a fun and interactive puzzle challenge!
This time, I got to be part of the action. Our guide pulled out spray paint cans and gave me the opportunity to create my very own graffiti masterpiece. That’s right—I got to leave my mark on London! It was so much fun to let my creativity run wild, adding my piece to a space where so many amazing artists have shared their work plus how many people can say they’ve painted in one of London’s coolest underground spots? Walking through the tunnel, I felt inspired by the variety of styles, colors, and stories told through the art. And now, I can say I contributed to one of London’s coolest underground art spaces! Whether you’re an artist or just a fan of street art, the Leake Street Tunnel is an unforgettable experience. 🎨✨
A Magical Harry Potter Stop
Our guide also made sure to include a visit to a Harry Potter filming location because he knew we’re big fans. Standing in a spot where scenes from the movies were filmed was such a magical moment. It felt like I was walking in Harry’s footsteps!

Why a Private Guide is the Best
One of the things I loved most about this tour was how personalized it was. The guide really took the time to get to know our interests and made the tour fit us perfectly. Whether it was showing us hidden gems, sharing fun facts, or making a stop for my favorite treats, everything was tailored to make our day unforgettable.
Having a private guide also meant we could go at our own pace and ask as many questions as we wanted. It felt like we were exploring London with a super knowledgeable friend.
My Takeaway
If you’re visiting London, I highly recommend doing a black cab tour—even if it’s not your first trip. These guides are some of the most knowledgeable and friendly people you’ll meet, and they’ll make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s uncovering hidden pieces of history, reliving movie magic, or creating your own street art, there’s always something new and exciting to discover.
Until next time, happy travels! 🖌️✨
